Talk In Code - More Than Friends

More Than Friends

Talk In Code

The new single by Talk In Code successfully bridges the gap between '80s New Wave electronica and '90s indie-pop, proving they're capable of producing original, timeless anthems. "More Than Friends," is arguably their finest example yet.

The track is an intoxicating blend of atmospheric reflection and rousing anthemic pop. Reinforced by an infectious rhythmic groove, "More Than Friends" tackles a familiar narrative: the apprehension and eagerness of a blossoming relationship. Frontman Chris Stevens sums up the relatable theme: "we’ve all been there, in a situation waiting for the other to make the first move..."

Sonically, the band embraces immortal choruses and rousing hooks, immediately bringing to mind the memorable pop craftsmanship of A-Ha or Spandau Ballet. Recorded with producer Sam Winfield (Amber Run, The Amazons) at Studio 91, this track continues to ascend Talk In Code to beguiling pop greatness.

Definitely worth 4 mins of you time to listen too. A great song
