Hudson Taylor Captivate At Ally Pally
Published
Speeding through the entrance and weaving through the crowds of Alexandra Palace it’s almost as if the band I’m rushing to see have created the perfect soundtrack to an exciting race. Hudson Taylor are tonight’s support act for Jake Bugg at the gorgeous venue of Ally Pally.
.Hudson Taylor are Ireland's answer to Mumford & Sons and their fast guitar playing is perfection against the rough tones in this echoing venue. Being a support act to a sold out gig holds a lot of pressure and for Hudson Taylor it was as if it was their own show at Ally Pally. With a huge crowd in the main room leaving only short queues at the bar, it was the busiest I’ve seen for a support act.
Hudson Taylor performed exceptionally with their vocals being anything but disappointing and the folk sound they have produced takes you to another world. They do a great job of being a traditional folk band but ultimately twisting it so they become unique and different in that sector.
Bestowing a feel good and uplifting mood Ally Pally is filled with smiles and the feeling of content, absorbing the beautiful sound they have created. The rusty tone of Hudson Taylor and their Irish accent makes them different to the usual folk sound, making it charismatic but definitely attractive to the ears.
With years starting out busking, the smiles from the boys is appreciative and honest which is refreshing to see from a band, particularly those performing at a sold out show and no doubt the guys will be soon the headline of their very own sold out show.
