Life On The Road - On Tour With Living Dead Lights
Published
Overseas tours always provide some rather "interesting" and bizarre experiences regardless of the where and when you're touring. Crazy fans, horrific tour bus experiences and a complete lack of any normality provide for some fantastic tales. So when US band Living Dead Lights (LDL) got in touch to ask whether they could share some of the experiences from their recent European tour we agreed that whatever happened on tour was definitely not staying on tour.
Russian mobsters, English moshers and Norwegian Hells Angels. The reality of touring as told by guitarist Alan Damien. First stop, Paris.
- Paris, France
We got to Paris, ahead of the tour and our set at Foud'Rock Fest, to film our new music video in an abandoned coffin factory (of course). There were coffins of all sizes for adults, children, and even creepy babies ones. Couldn't have picked a creepier place to shoot a video.
We randomly crossed paths with the band Caparrezza while walking the streets of Paris that night and ended up having a crazy night at their show.
We were staying in a pretty ghetto and shady part of Paris that was known for being a predominately Conganese neighborhood. People were trying to sell us drugs and party with us on the doorstep of where we were staying haha!
Anyway the day of our show I remember Brandon (our vocalist) waking us up at around 4am and there was some chick running down the street, butt fucking naked, being chased by this dude and the dude was being chased by another girl, all while a crowd of people were hooting and hollering.
Crazy Parisians!
