Oudini & Shiro Team Up On "PAS DE CLOPES"

Pas de clopes (Single)

Oudini & Shiro

SHIRO and OUDINI, hailing from Paris, have grown up together in an environment steeped in hip-hop culture. This shared background is evident in their seamless collaboration and the way they effortlessly bounce off each other's energy. Their creative synergy is palpable, making their partnership a natural fit.

In 2024, the duo made a significant return with their joint EP, 'JUSQU’A L’AUBE'. This project is a bold attempt to break free from the conventional boundaries of rap. Across the six tracks, including "Pas de clopes", SHIRO and OUDINI explore a wide array of sounds, from trap to acoustic to electronic, demonstrating their versatility and willingness to experiment.

From the moment I hit play on "Pas de clopes", I knew I was in for something special. Despite my usual aversion to autotune, I found myself thoroughly enjoying this track. The autotune, often a polarizing element in modern music, adds a unique texture to the voices and makes the lyrics even more addictive. It transforms the song into an earworm that’s hard to shake off.

One of the standout moments in "Pas de clopes" is the unexpected piano interlude that appears midway through the track. This brief yet poignant break in the music provides a refreshing contrast to the rap verses, showcasing a softer, more introspective side before seamlessly transitioning to the second rapper. It’s a brilliant move that adds depth and variety to the song, keeping the listener engaged.
