Red House Glory Create A Buzz In Hoxton

Rock quartet Red House Glory have done nothing but create a buzz around the streets of London, with previous successful shows and a group of girl fans already lining up at the door. I was fortunate enough to be invited to their EP launch party at the hip venue Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen.

With a packed out crowd filled with eager young girls, cool bearded guys and mature industry adults ready to hear this talented young band; the crowd tonight proved that there is no particular demographic, yes the leader singer is easy on the eyes but the sound this band creates is Indie Rock at its finest.

The freshness they ooze conveys their passion and integrity but the music portrays maturity and a kind of “We are here now listen” attitude that is evident and magnetic. Red House Glory performed their EP “Living a Lie” exceptionally with the energy from the loving crowd encouraging the band to perform ever more confidently.

“Living a Lie” is named after the first track of the newly released EP and is a brilliant track that will stick in your head for days where you find yourself walking down the street and singing the lyrics. It's reminiscent of Wolfmother and that's definitely not a bad thing, the catchy guitar riff forced attendees to head bang and dance on the spot. With their catchy Rock songs, the crowd were singing along and dancing when a blackout highlighted the band’s music, igniting and filling the room with roars of requests for one more song.

As EP launch parties go, this is one that I was glad to be a part of as it’s highly interesting and satisfying to see a band start out with a fantastic EP release and know that they will have more successful gigs and a bigger crowds to play to... I hope to be there!
