Pianist Gerard O'Donnell Releases Instrumental Piece 'Solstice'

Gerard O'Donnell is a Donegal (Ireland) composer who has just released new single 'Solstice' into the world. Although I'm a bit late to the party, I couldn't help but sing Gerard's praises on this one.

While lyrics are important, music is paramount for me, and despite the lack of vocals, a real narrative is achieved in Solstice by O'Donnell. There is a sense of movement between destinations as he takes us on a journey of emotion and tension, throughout the 6 and a half minute song.

Acclaimed by notable composers, the Irish pianist is breaking new ground in his world, having being picked up in a number of media outlets already on this release. I highly recommend you go check it out below, and look forward to what the future brings for Gerard!
