Belfast shoegazey rockers Wynona Bleach deliver a dreamily hypnotic narrative (and rather a saucy one at that) with their latest Single 'Swim In The Bay' - a real alt rock ear worm if ever I heard one. Think hooky guitars and vocals that very much put you in a pleasingly altered consciousness or kind of soporific state.

Dreamy as 'Swim In The Bay' may be, just know that Wynona Bleach are still very much a rock band: dont fall down the rabbit hole of believing they just do trippy poppy stuff. Yes indeed, 'Swim In the Bay' is a lush feast of what feels like 90s-influenced trippy guitars smothered in the truly honey-smooth vocals of front person Melyssa, dripping down and acting as a balm on easy going but firm instrumental hooks. You can add a whole big dollop of sauce on top of that, as the subject matter may well be a reference to some sexy bedroom repertoire (in fact - spoiler alert - it is!)

The theme of the single chimes in with previous sauce-laden releases such as 'Aubergine' and 'Drag' which underscores that Wynona Bleach have no qualms musically going in where angels fear to tread! That is a glorious thing. Highly recommend.
