Same Old Missing You (Single)
Dominic Bugatti and Ann Winsborn
'Same Old Missing You' is the work of legendary songwriter Dominic Bugatti and successful artist Ann Winsborn. With a beautiful blonde Swedish girl who has the voice of an angel, the ABBA comparisons were always going to be apparent. Team this up with one of the UK’s finest songwriters and the comparisons are more than justified. Same Old Missing You is pop perfection. 3 minutes of pure class – catchy, irresistible, and fun.
I love the music instrumentation on this with its beautiful bass and piano interwoven together, holding up Ann's warm vocal. The chorus is super catchy and my favourite lyric is 'before I know it I made an extra coffee, it's a shame to pour it down the sink'.
In 2021, the Swedish language music releases from Ann Winsborn captured the interest of UK songwriter Dominic Bugatti. Their first joint venture, "Way To Go," achieved success on YouTube hit lists. Their most recent single, "Same Old Missing You," penned and produced by Dominic, explores the difficulties of navigating through the aftermath of a shattered love affair.
Dominic is indeed an iconic UK songwriter with an impressive catalog of hit songs. His notable achievements include the BMI Two Million Play Award-winning classic "Every Woman In The World" by Air Supply, the chart-topping "Music Sounds Better With You" by Stardust/Daft Punk, and the Two Three Degrees' gold singles "My Simple Heart" and "A Woman In Love."
Additionally, Dominic's songwriting prowess extends to hits like Sheena Easton's "Modern Girl" and her Miami Vice feature "When He Shines." He's also credited with the Paul Nicholas UK hit "Dancing With The Captain" and the US top five hit "Heaven On The Seventh Floor." His diverse contributions solidify his status as a prominent figure in the realm of songwriting.
Ann Winsborn, a celebrated Swedish artist, singer, and songwriter, boasts an impressive legacy filled with successful tracks. Originating from Malmö, she marked her debut in the recording scene with the song "Everything I Do." Her first album, "Everything I Am," enjoyed immediate success, and her third single, "Je N'ai Pas Compris," clinched Ann a record deal with Universal Music in Poland.
The turning point arrived with the single "La La Love On My Mind" from her second album, "Pink Collar Crime." This particular track catapulted Ann to stardom, making her the most played artist in countries such as Poland and Germany.
