Those who haven’t tracked ULTIMA closely since their debut EP "Meritamun" may be surprised by the devil-may-care noisy melodies and challenging experience that "Bloom The Ego" is.

"Bloom The Ego" is creatively vast and bursts with intensity, nothing less than what I expected from ULTIMA, but it’s their impenetrably chaos that shows that they’re digging new grounds. Even when they sound meticulous and precise, they find a way to brutalize and punish the listener with their controlled and exhilarating complexity.

Produced by Fabrizio Gesuato (former member of deathcore act The Big Jazz Duo), the new album is a good balance between the goliardery side of Periphery and the virtuosity of Veil Of Maya/Between The Buried And Me, with a good dose of personality and character.
