Post Punk Is Still Alive Through Blindness & Light Self-Titled Album

Blindness & Light

Blindness & Light

Remember the 80's Joy Division, The Smith then bring yourself back to 2023 and Blindness and Light, it's like a timewarp. With the release of their self-titled album they bring together the Post Punk era of the 80's with the cutting edge technology of today's digital world.

The album consists of 8 tracks, all of which create an emotive, melancholic experience. 'The Ballard of Them and Us' is my favourite with the added bonus of Henry Priestman, formerly of The Christians, providing harmonica behind lead harmonica, along with playing the melodica. It's an upbeat track, opening immediately with drums and bass, which kick in to deliver a sound identical to the best of the 80's.

Blindness & Light was released on 1st July and is available on CD and for those vinyl lovers you'd better be quick, this is a limited edition of only 100 copies!
