Hull's Finest Breeze Deliver Indie Pop Wonder With New Track 'She's Got It'

She's Got It (Single)

Breeze

Hailing from Hull, fledgling indie band Breeze are a band most certainly on the way up. Evoking their heroes from across the musical spectrum- but especially the 90’s (such as the mighty Oasis), the band’s MO is to soak up legendary influences and transform them into their own unique musical brew. Cue new single 'She's Got It'.

Heavy or intense this is not. Nothing experimental here to wrap your brain around. Instead, you have a very safe, reliable and pleasant pop indie experience on the theme we all know well: a golden girl who just has that 'je ne sais quoi'! Having said that, you can totally hear 90's indie guitar rock influences straight away and indeed the very pleasing poppy feel of the single is heavily influenced by that decade too. The vocals are gorgeously clear and there is pleasing harmonising and a very catchy chorus, to boot.

The subject matter is, as we've acknowledged, very simple- the hot girl who is also some kind of angel, which is actually quite charming and refreshing in its youthful, yet retro, naivety: and therein lies its appeal. (Hey maybe that's what we've all been missing after a few years of pandemic stress?!) 'She's Got It' evokes indie pop wonder and a happy bounciness that lifts the spirits. Dammit, the band are so young, you pretty much want to pinch their cheeks too. Watch out for Breeze: it's nice to see youthful energy ascend the musical ladder. Recommend.
