Honey B Shines

Canadian rapper and activist Honey B returns after a hiatus with a banger of a single. Pressure is a feminist anthem describing how Honey B's experiences coping with adversity have only made her stronger, just as geological pressure turns carbon into diamonds.

It's a pleasant change to have a rap single with such a positive message (it's very Canadian in that respect) but Honey B raps with a real defiance belied by her sweet vocal. Her debut single, Baddie, was a track about empowering women; in a similar vein, Pressure is a paean to female power and resilience.
