Hospital (Single)

The Urban Tales

On the brink of their anticipated debut EP ‘Two Pigeons in Straitjackets’, Israeli alternative rock band The Urban Tales share their blissful indie-rock dazzler ‘Hospital’ which is fun-filled, light-hearted and yet understatedly hard-hitting and bold.

The concept behind the track centres around being locked inside a psychiatric ward while at the same time transforming it into a funny and grotesque musical. The track was heavily influenced by My Chemical Romance’s The Black Parade. While it’s not the first track you think of when comparing, on a second listen you can certainly hear the inspiration.

The accompanying video showcases the band's sense of humour, starting pretty normal at a psychiatrist's office until gradually descending into chaos with varied characters and almost skit-like scenes.

It’s safe to say that you’ll be swept up with the raucous energy of The Urban Tales, as they set themselves to be the benchmark outfit in their homeland of Israel and beyond. ‘Hospital’ is a song for the ages, and that’s what makes this band such an intriguing and one-of-a-kind listen.
