Mac Backwardz Shares His Stirring Single 'Hate U Love U'

Hate U Love U (Single)

Mac Backwardz

Mac Backwardz is a Coventry-based rapper who has just released his brilliant new single ‘Hate U Love U’, produced by the duo Harlem Ralph. It’s the second single from his forthcoming album ‘I’ll Bell You Tomorrow’ out in July.

According to Mac Backwardz, this track was inspired by Mac Miller’s ‘The Divine Feminine’ album and you can definitely see why. From the opening bars of the track it’s apparent that the trio wanted to take this track in a super soulful and jazzy direction, with stirring harmonies and buttery smooth production.

Mac sounds poised on the verses, rapping about a broken relationship from the perspective of the toxic party, ultimately responsible for the breakdown.

Alongside his previous single ‘Editor, Director’, this track is a great introduction to Mac Backwardz who should definitely have a place in your summer playlists this year.
