The Cuza Deliver The Sublime And Reflective With "A Life Full Of Colour"

A Life Full Of Colour (Single)

The Cuza

The Cuza are a five-piece Manchester band who combine many and varied eclectic musical influences to form their own unique and layered style. This goes too for the actual band line up: they are a mix of all ages and backgrounds with 'adopted Manc' singer Tudor Todut (originally from Transylvania, no less!) as frontman.

'A Life Full Of Colour' is as smooth a track as can be possibly imagined and showcases the band at their most wistful and reflective. The lyrics seem to come from very deep within. The song has a really catchy but understated singer-songwriter hook, an almost ballad-y vibe but with gorgeously chilled melodies and sumptuously smooth vocals from Tudor that are delivered gently and with true feeling. This is all backed with beautifully rolling and thoughtful instrumentation: sweeping guitars, piano strings and drums taking you on a deeply pensive and heartfelt journey. Sublime.

As a track it is both polished yet multi-faceted: multiple layers of feeling are going on here at the same time: sad and wistful and yet gloriously optimistic. We've been through so much and better times are ahead. It's something that certainly resonates after the last few strange years we've all experienced.

The Cuza have an album coming out later in the year and, judging by this single, I'm excited to hear what it will offer. Meanwhile, stream or download 'A Life Full Of Colour' now.
