Evol Walks = Massive Inspiration!

Gun & a Crucifix (Single)

Evol Walks

Hard hitting and distinctive from the get go, 'Gun & a Crucifix' is heroic and best described as an iconic single from an artist that's energetic and everything you'd want from a rockstar. With a healthy chunk of attitude, a dynamite lead singer and a predilection for time-honoured rock ’n’ roll, Evol Walks was originally formed in LA by flame-haired Australian-born Leah Martin-Brown. About the dichotomy between dark and light, the track is about the constant struggle for power between this balance. Relatable and something I feel like I needed to hear at the moment, the enigmatic number is elevating and empowering. Envisioning the inexplicable yet enigmatic pull of a cult leader and exploring that a little in the song, Evol Walks' lyrics aren't for the faint hearted, which I love.

Armed with an elevating soundscape that will instantly get you on your feet headbanging along to its infectious rhythm, ‘Gun & a Crucifix’ channels the energy of Halestorm while still sounding innovative and comes across a positive addition to the world of heavy rock. A driving force that I look up to for inspiration as not only a musician but as a woman, Evol Walks came along at the right time in my life. Determined to push through any turbulence and always be the best they can possibly be, you can really hear the blood, sweat and tears that has gone into making their incredible music.
