REVIEW album Anna Thompson Gone (Love Letters)

This Song Is Never Leaving My Playlist And Heart!

Gone (Love Letters)

Anna Thompson

Heartfelt and intimate, 'Gone (Love Letters)' is a gorgeous number with layers of personality. Her interest in music has been constant since childhood, though her first break into the industry occurred when she was 16. After participating in a national talent search, she was offered a recording contract by a major label. She took a step back from high school in order to pursue this opportunity, though after nearly a year of work, the label decided against pursuing a further relationship with Anna. What makes me like this song more than other tracks currently in the charts, 'Gone (Love Letters)' is a reflection of an unhappy relationship. A track that feels personal after being inspired by Anna's relationship status at the time, her writing was brought out when she was too afraid to admit herself.

After receiving praise on TikTok and getting recognition across the web, a video of Anna performing the song online caught my attention and I've been a fan ever since. Commercially endearing and the type of track that you’d hear at the top of the charts, ‘Gone (Love Letters)’ speaks volumes to people feeling unhappy within their platonic and romantic relationships. Sounding somewhere between the biggest artists in the world such as Meghan Trainor and Dua Lipa, I really think this artist could have her name in lights in a matter of years. This feels like a big middle finger up to past experiences and a fresh start for an artist at the top of her game.
