If Things Don't Fit In Life, Eva Westphal's Single Certainly Does

About growing out of your old self, I have never related to a song more than I do with Eva Westphal's Things Don't Fit. It has sat happily on my playlist ever since it dropped, and it's not going anywhere yet. Having gone viral on Tiktok (which is where I found it), there's something so pure about this song that feels totally human. An artist that even got praise from the likes of Grammy winner Alicia Keys, Eva's pure vocal tone is out of this world and deserves a pedestal with all the great singers in this world. Detailing finding yourself after losing yourself for some time, Eva got inspired to write the song after accidentally ripping her old prom dress.

Detailing gratitude for how far you can come, Eva gets personal when singing this and shares her eating disorder recovery. It led to her becoming proud and independent, it's everything I want to be and she's such an inspiration. I feel like this artist will truly empower and inspire the next generation that our journey is not all roses and rainbows, there's bumps in the road, but that's part of the wonderful world we live in. Inspired by the remarkable ‘Evermore’ by Taylor Swift, the acoustic pop number is certainly chart-worthy and comes across as innovative yet nostalgic to yesteryears. Things Don’t Fit’ feels like a coming of age anthem that would sit perfectly in an episode of your favourite feel-good programme where the protagonist’s story finally ends right.
