MIKANO - AKWA II EP

All the back in 2018, Paris-based rapper MIKANO released Blind Man Dreams a haunting and dreamlike EP which put him on the radar of the French and international music industry and positioned him as an artist who crossovers genres. Since then, he's continued his momentum with the release of Melting Balloons EP in 2020 and AKWA I in 2021. This year (2022) sees the release of AKWA II, the second chapter to the artist's EP series which connects him back to the Cameroonian district, Akwa, where he spent his early years.

It's a contemporary approach to hip-hop made for those who love Frank Ocean, Blood Orange or Kid Cudi and are looking for someone new to add to their elite playlists. This raw and explosive record takes the listener on a deep dive into MIKANO's mindscape. He flawlessly takes us from sweetness, vulnerability, and fantasy to something inflated with roughness and overly confident energy.
