Aural Air Releases Ethereal New Single 'Karman Line'

Irish singer-songwriter Aural Air is back with her latest single 'Karman Line', the track gives us a taste of what's to come from her upcoming EP 'Imagined Pastures'.

'Karman Line' blends elements of alternative folk, rock and indie to create a soundscape that evokes feelings of nostalgia and introspection. Known for her ethereal, eerie, and expansive guitar and vocal melodies Aural Air makes good use of both in 'Karman Line', a track reflects on the dreams Aural Air had during her childhood, coming from a small place and the desire to expand out into the world. The music reflects this expansion, utalising a solitary guitar with electric lead lines interspersed to create a dreamy soundscape that puts all the focus on Aural Air's delicate vocal performance.

The track then opens up with the use of drums and string arrangements, crescendoing to what feels like a natural conclusion to the subject matter and track alike.

The title of the song, 'Karman Line', refers to the supposed boundary between the Earth's atmosphere and space, hence the feeling of overcoming and expanding beyond the boundaries of what you have experienced and known.
