Tara Bridget Really Is So Cool And This Song Proves It

she's so cool (Single)
Tara-Bridget
tara-bridget quickly jumped onto my radar and will never leave. An artist from Brooklyn that keeps growing with each release, the alt-pop offering 'She's So Cool' is up there with my favourite releases from an independent artist. The track was originally written for Tara's best friend, who had a tough year, but over time, quickly took on a broader narrative of working women. A track that is not empowering to woman but people across the globe, the track details growing into yourself and finding a place as a person. The world is a hectic place and to make a statement, it's hard to be heard. The best way to make a statement... simply be yourself and forget the noise around you, that's the message I took out of this song.
Tara found the melody by accident - it seems like the best songs are written that way. While the track started off about Tara's best friend but turned into a self discovery track, it did a full circle and ended up back to the starting point. Tara was thinking about her best friend and how much she loves her. A raw subject and feeling like a coming of age number, the track made me bewitched from the very first note. Delicate but still coming across as fiercely powerful, the innovative songwriter’s voice could easily find her singing alongside the greats. Aiming to grow as an artist and truly cement her sound, ‘She’s so cool’ really details the importance of staying true to yourself and finding your ‘niche’. I love the empowerment in this artist!
