Whilst the track is called 'Been Trying', I don't even want to get this out of my head. I've probably listened to the track repeatedly for the last few months and it's becoming part of my routine. Delivering a message of encouragement and motivation to anyone who wants to accomplish something in their life, the track tells me to dust myself off and always try again. Get a bad day? The next day might be good. Musically, Coleo's track is fuelled with melodic signature flows and playful lyricism that I just can't get enough of. This is an artist that knows their craft. Weaving through rap and hip-hop unlike any other artist I've heard, Coleo truly connects with his music and makes sure fans do the same - like me!
Detailing the hunger that he has to success in this industry, if this track is anything to go by, I'm certain this song will get Coleo's name in lights. Despite the distractions we all get in life or in the past, you have to dust them off and go again. Even though it's entirely motivating, I feel the track also stands for the distractions that have 'been trying' to knock Coleo down in vain. A song that stemmed from the 2020 lockdown, this is energetic and certainly gives me a serotonin boost every time I hear it.
