Corona Time In Amerika

Fascination Curve

If you’re a fan of prog-rock icons, Pink Floyd, then you’re going to love Fascination Curve and their new album release of ‘Corona Time in Amerika’. Assembled by Karl Lundeberg, the band are a prog-rock powerhouse with a plethora of well-respected, expert musicians lending their skills to create an album that is filled to the brim with powerful guitar riffs that create atmospheric sounds and vocals that compliment the music and convey the messages of Lundeberg perfectly. With a strong debut album in ‘Corona Time in Amerika’, it’s safe to assume that there will be more to come from Fascination Curve in the future, don’t miss out!

Getting into this album, it’s easy to tell almost instantly that this isn’t out of place alongside some of the best prog-rock around. With an undeniable amount of musical talent and creative expression, from the first second it grabs your attention, and the atmospheric, Gilmour-like guitar keeps you in. All along the way, bringing Karl Lundeberg’s political and social message to life – and no song like the first song, ‘Land of the Free, Home of the Slaves’, highlights that.

‘Land of the Free, Home of the Brave’ is the perfect tone-setter for ‘Corona Time in Amerika’ – a slow, booming drum with vocalising mixed in with electrifying riffs and solos. Perfectly raising the curtain on an album with an abundance of energy, which emerges into a chorus and hard riffs that sums up the approach on this ‘Corona Time in Amerika’. With an over-average playtime, the opener is an attention grabbing and holding anthem that demands more from the listener.

Moving through the album, other tracks such as ‘I Will Breathe with You’ and the 20-minute mammoth self-titled track, ‘Corona Time in Amerika’, give off the same power as the initial track, proving that Karl Lundeberg’s message mixed with the talent of the band is capable of creating more than just one off hits, but piecing together a project that doubles as a social commentary which is more than music, it’s a statement. From beginning to end, ‘Corona Time in Amerika’ is an impressive creative project that creates its own atmosphere that holds listeners.

There isn’t a note or second wasted on this album, with so much talent being displayed, and such a powerful message being conveyed. On the whole, a very strong release that breaks through music and becomes a fully-fledged piece of art. Having already been released, there’s time for you to see for yourself before they soon come out with more, good, new music!
