Edge & Babi Lou Do It Again With The Drop Of Their Highly Anticipated EP "Endless Summer 2"

Picture this: You blink yourself awake one morning to find the summer sun creeping through your living room curtains, hitting you directly in the eyes. A heatwave has been beating down on your city for weeks, and today is expected to be the hottest day yet. Beads of sweat cover your forehead and as you sit up a few stream down your face, hitting the floor like rain. You close your eyes and use the neck of your shirt to wipe the rest away. Faded memories of last night begin to trickle into your thoughts as you question how you ended up falling asleep on your couch. Your legs find the floor and you begin stumbling to the bathroom, gripping both sides of the sink for stability upon entry. You look straight ahead as your reflection multiplies in the mirror, hoping that if you stare long enough things will start to straighten out. A ring from your pocket breaks the silence and confusion. You reach down to pull out your phone. A text from an unknown number appears across the screen. “Hey” it reads. Within seconds of opening it, three dots jump into the thread, only to be immediately followed by the words, “Ready to do it again?” In your fog, you don’t even care to ask who it is. A smile creeps across your face and without hesitation, you respond, “On my way.”

As I listen to Edge and Babi Lou’s newly released EP "Endless Summer 2," all I can picture are the days like these. The ones where your only concern is living every moment like it’s your last, and wanting to find any way to relive them over and over again, without any regard for whether or not you’ll remember them the next day. This story is brought to life with the starting track “3 Seconds” and comes full circle with the finale “Do It Again.” The songs in between deliver their own unique vibe that can be used as the soundtrack to any summer occasion. Going downtown? Start the pre-game with the single “If You Wit It,” and while you’re at it add “Intoxicated” to the queue. Looking for some island tunes to play on your way to the beach? They got you covered with “Sorry.” Finally ready for a day off? Throw on “Can’t Stay” and take a breather. Whatever it is you’re looking for to make your summer complete, you can find it here.

Track after track they prove that there is nothing they can’t do. No stone was left unturned in regards to finding the best and most creative way to bring your favorite summer stories to life. If you’re anything like myself, you’ll without a doubt fall back into those memories upon pressing play.
