Johnny Kulo Keeps The R&B Fire Alive With Bloom EP

Johnny Kulo is the Berlin-based Indian musician whose unusual background as the son of a reverend introduced him to playing drums in church and ignited a love of all instruments. Not too long afterwards, he found his feet in R&B and soul styles, which is exactly what you can expect from the artists current output, which includes newest EP, Bloom.

The five-track EP uses a compilation of 90's R&B, modern soul, classic songwriting, funky rhythms and a groovey live band. At the heart of it all is Johnny's sultry-smooth voice, which he uses to tell personal and perceived stories of love, heartbreak and unsettled identity. Be on the listen out for focus track 'Loyal', a straight and simple tale of an unhealthy relationship and one's own faults. It's honesty to the max.
