Motel Thieves - Over The Hills

Holy moly mother of The Stone Roses what do we have here? Yeah , it sounds baggy but so what? In this heat baggy is good. Motel Thieves from Wales may be ploughing a well worn furrow musically but we do hear something new and indeed essential here.

'Over The Hill' their new single is part Verve & part Roses but it's definitely the sound of young men with something to say. Recorded and mixed by the legendary Nick Brine (known for work with The Stone Roses, Oasis, Arctic Monkeys) and mastered by Pete Maher (The Rolling Stones, Pixies) the relentlessness of this tune will make you want to play it again and again. I did.
