REVIEW album El Train And Then We Woke Up

El Train's And Then We Woke Up Will Spice Up Your mornings!

And Then We Woke Up

El Train

The pandemic had us all feeling some ways and certainly spending way more time inside our homes and hearts. British producer El Train decided to turn his lockdown into a blessing, creating a whole new album aptly named 'And Then We Woke Up'.

On the project (which is El Train's sophomore album), there is a track for each type of mornings: Lessons in Love feels like a breezy, sunny spring Saturday . Through the Night and its subtle house accents smell like the hours after dawn following a club getaway. The lead single of the pack, the moody Feeling Blue, tastes like a big cup of dark coffee on a Monday, while IKWYW will accompany you for your early daily commute. My two favorites, Video Game and Waiting, brings the right amount of groove to make you dance all the way to the kitchen, ready to dig into a lush brunch on a Sunday morning.

Blending soul, jazz, rnb, hip hop and electronic, El Train's And Then We Woke Up definitely offers a solid companion to go through the seasons of life. Make sure to pre-order your vinyl if you're convinced too: https://shimmyrecords.bandcamp.com/album/and-then-we-woke-up
