Xskarma Pay Soulful Tribute To The Women Of Afghanistan

Bristol-based trip hop producer and drummer xskarma doesn't shy away from the tough topics. Their recent single, 'Changing', was inspired by and dedicated to Greta Thunberg and the Fridays For Future movement; profits from the song went to a tree planting charity to restore Rwandan rain foressts.

Their latest, 'Tragic', is dedicated to the women of Afghanistan. The lyrics, sung by Tammy Roylance, are mornful and heartfelt if a little naive, while the music is classic trip hop in the vein of Portishead, Massive Attack and Zero Seven. While the song is not particularly ground breaking, there is no doubt that it comes from the heart.
