Project CONCUBINE's Heart Train Is Gathering Speed!!!

The new single from post-gothic industrial punk twosome Project CONCUBINE sees them take another step towards wider recognition. 'Heart Train' is in a slower tempo than previous singles 'F*** Daddy' and 'I'm addictive' but is no less dark, brooding and surreal. 'Jera is my name' sings Jera over a hypnotic, rock-solid electro-tribal beat and drone synth courtesy of Hanja. As the layers of synth increase and the atmosphere intensifies, Jera's deep distinct tones dominate the track, beckoning to him in one breath whilst threatening to take you into scary new territory the next. There are references that can be made with electronic, industrial and post-everything artists old and new but theirs is a sound entirely of their own and 'Heart Train' is another statement of intent. Having seen them live twice in recent times, it is clear that we are dealing with a pretty special thing. More than a band. More an ever-evolving piece of irresistible art rebellion. The Heart Train is gathering speed. My advice is to get on and stay on board.
