Gavin Thorpe Rises Above It All

Bristol based singer-songwriter Gavin Thorpe returns with a brand new single ‘Rise Above’ via Distiller Records.

This is the follow up to Gavin’s ’Talk Club EP’ which featured the Radio 2 play-listed ‘From Now On’. Rise Above’ is the first single to be taken from the forthcoming ‘Rewind’ project, an album featuring 12 songs, spanning over 20 years and collecting together re-recorded tracks from Gavin’s five albums.

Recorded pre lockdown, engineered by Sam Dyson and Produced by Gavin and his long-term partner in crime Rupert Christie the single was mixed by Sam Burden who also mixed the Talk Club EP.

Alongside the music, Gavin is also a fully qualified counsellor, something which led to the eventual setting up of Talk Club - the fastest-growing men’s mental fitness movement in the UK. Previous release ’Talk Club EP’ saw all profits go towards the charity, continuing to help raise awareness for the Mental fitness movement.
