15 Minutes In New York City

15 Minutes (EP)

The Moors

15 Minutes, the debut EP from NYC-based The Moors, provides a welcome remedy for the 2020 dive bar-deprived soul. With only seven songs, the album is a tight curation of nostalgic rock ‘n' roll with overtones of brit and indie pop, the soundtrack for a Saturday night in New York’s Lower East Side but also for a rainy afternoon spent down the pub. Lyrics are catchy and snappy but never repetitious or formulaic; there is an overall polished quality that speaks to its authenticity, there is passion here, but not self-indulgence. Regardless of your stance, ‘Cocaine Girl’ will be relatable. ‘Thoughts and Prayers’ will bring you home.
