Tourist announce 'Patterns' EP (Method Records) out Monday 21st April + reveal tour dates for May... Utilizing the rhytmic pattern of Magnetic Man's smash 'I Need Air' without the wooshy synths, instead replacing it with a beat that gets more complicated as the song builds, crescendo-ing into something very exciting, with the soulful refrain building and building, hitting a rawer emotion as he begins to sound exasperated. Then the dance rhythms kick in, he goes falsetto and you fall madly in love with everything swimming around your ear drums... For fans of Years & Years, Friendly Fires and the latter years of the Garage scene. https://soundcloud.com/touristmusic/i-cant-keep-up
The Horrors reveal 'So Now You Know' music video. New album 'Luminous' - available 5th May... The 'So Now You Know' video is a short surreal film about the loneliness of teenage life, and the world we create with our friends at that age. Filmed on the outskirts of LA in an empty desert town which matches the hazy synths of the track in question, the treatment weaves between multiple protagonists each experiencing a moment of realisation about their life, discovering a beauty in the mundane world and expressing this through interpretive dance. Faris also features in the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wr7TAfOkEVc
Metronomy announce new single 'Reservoir,' set for release on June 2nd 2014 via Because Music... A song about friendship (lyrically inspired by an underground reservoir near to Joe Mount’s childhood home) 'Reservoir' is about old friends who drift apart, but who can always pick up where they left off each time they see one another.  The song bridges the gap between the old sound of The English Riviera and Love Letters.  Fans of previous dancefloor songs such as the more up-tempo 'The Bay' and 'The Look' will be pleased with the oh-so-distinctive British seaside organ sound Mount has been using in his work for years… complete with ear worm pop melody, lovelorn lyrics and erupting chorus - this is a Metronomy love song at its most euphoric.

Lust For Youth release new video for their latest single, ahead of UK live dates & album release... 'Illume' is a bold, summery track from Copenhagen-based trio Lust For Youth. The synths bring to mind the simplistic melodies of prime-OMD given a millenial twist, with the melodic vocal charm of the Cure in their prime. Catch the band live @ Rough Trade (Instore 1st July) & Shacklewell Arms (2nd July) before their 9th June release of 'International' (via Sacred Bones). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmDMiUDm4rY
15 years after its initial release, Mogwai’s iconic second album is reissued as a 4LP boxset and 2CD (16th June, 2014 via Chemikal Underground Records), with over an hour of bonus material... ‘Come On Die Young’ was - and remains – a hugely accomplished, elegant and important album, setting a benchmark for the fierce intelligence that would characterise Mogwai’s future body of work.  The reissue of ‘Come On Die Young’ - fifteen years after it originally hit the shelves – recognises the vital role this album played in Chemikal Underground’s development as the label approaches its 20th anniversary in 2015.  This deluxe edition of ‘Come On Die Young’ has been painstakingly put together by the band and label, unearthing more than an hour of bonus material. https://soundcloud.com/chemikal-underground/mogwai-ex-cowboy-cava-session/
Animic release new video ahead of live shows & album release... Sometimes the best moments are over quickly, and with this ideology in mind, Animic's new single 'Skeletons 2' is a blast of 3 chord-attitude combined with a simplistic but excitingly direct melodic twist. If you blink you might miss it, but something very special is going on here, bringing to mind Blood Red Shoes, the Banshees and the drone-y synths of Suicide. Their new album 'Hannibal' and single 'Skeletons 2' will be released via BCore Disc on 12 May. They also play The Old Blue Last London Show on 2 May & Liverpool Sound City Festival @ Brooklyn Mixer 3 May. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAEI16g92BM&feature=youtu.be
