Honeyblood Sell Out Oslo

Honeyblood had sold out the brilliant Oslo in Hackney. The Glaswegian duo performed their self-titled album in front of an eager and loving crowd with shouts of “I love this song” and “F*ck yeah”, the girls didn’t fail in rocking the venue and showing how awesome they are.

Opening with the first track off their album “Fall Forever” the whirring guitar excited the crowd and the atmosphere was cool and comfortable. Now I wasn’t sure if it was because I knew the songs too well and time certainly flies by when you’re having fun, but it seemed that Honeyblood were working through their set list a little too quickly. Before I knew it the girls were cheered back on stage to a roar of applause and performed their last track for us, departing with a need and want for more.

Nonetheless Honeyblood proved that they are so damn good we don’t want the night to end. With Lead singer and Guitarist Stina’s mature, powerful vocals and edgy effortless guitar playing the band has the cherry on top with recent drummer Cat Myers whose drum playing left me in awe! I found myself fixated on her and just smiling at the incredible talent this girl has.

Despite the speed of the night, I cannot wait to see Honeyblood again and this time high five Cat Myers...
