Apache Rose
Have you ever felt like you were going to die in the back of a taxi? Apache Rose’s track ‘Blind Spot’, is an ode to reckless taxi drivers worldwide, with their brand-new video featuring some of Hollywood’s most famous reckless drivers, from Indiana Jones to the Terminator T1000.
Combining sounds from the British Invasion of the Sixties and the guitar bands of the Nineties, Apache Rose is the brainchild of muscovite engine and successful Russian businessman, Ilya Novokhatskiy. Packed with energy and a knowing sense of humour, the band captures the inventive magnificence of the 90s alternative music scene and the urgency and fury of today.
Apache Rose’s latest track ‘Blind Spot’ is an energetic banger, gradually building layers of sound and anthemic distortion to create a driving force of impressive guitar-rock. It blends melodic rock with authoritative basslines and witty lyrics which highlight terrible drivers worldwide, all the while permeating an overarching lesson of being careful not to put yourself in situations you can’t control.
‘Blind Spot’ is the clarion call for the return of classic Indie Rock, combining the earworms of The Beatles and the raw swagger of The Strokes. From the second the first note hits, it’s easy to see how an indie-rock band from Russia have garnered a truly global audience, with radio play and articles showing no lingering signs of Cold War tensions and over 10,000 Facebook followers and over a quarter of a million YouTube views of the official music video.
Apache Rose have been recording in a studio in the basement of the historic Central Telegraph building, 100 metres from The Kremlin, surely the most appropriate base for a Russian guitar attack of epic proportions. Blind Spot precedes an EP planned for release later this summer.
