Long Teeth's Sold Out Single Launch Party Causes Chaos

“We literally just set the stage on fire; put that in your review!” Jokes Lead Singer and Guitarist Sam Asbury. London based 3 piece Long Teeth debuted new single “Little Machine” at their sold out single launch party at the sweaty Power Lunches in Dalston.

With their name printed onto paper and stuck up on the back wall, the DIY approach created a garage- esque scene. Filled with sweaty twentysomethings, Long Teeth are definitely playing to the right demographic with sharp guitar snarls and a funky bass line, this band come across as obviously alternative but seeing them live they prove alternativeness is an understatement.

Vocalist Sam Asbury is the perfect front man, performing theatrically with eccentric facial expressions and gestures. His range of tones describes the lyrics of each song seamlessly, adding character to not only their performances but the songs, making each entertaining to watch. Bassist and supporting vocals is Jade Ellins whose girl power set the stage on fire....literally. With complications of the amp and jack lead the stage soon filled with smoke, a few worried faces and shifty moves Long Teeth still performed excellently. Celebrating the fantastic single “Little Machine” tonight was awesome but the song that really got me was “Mata- Hari”, you know a band is good when they truly deliver and you just think “wow”, “Mata-Hari” did just that.

The quick scratchy guitar, bangs and yelps obviously make this band successful as proving being different is the way to go, but attending this gig and leaving with my mouth open amazed at the fact this band are just starting out nonetheless conveys that the success will not stop any time soon. The band already seems to have an avid following and I am very happy to now be a part of it, and I hope you will to.
