Siren’s "February’s Son" Offers a Moving Tribute

February's Son (Single)

Siren

With “February’s Son,” Siren delivers one of their most emotionally resonant releases to date.

Written by frontman Rob Phillips in memory of his family member Reese Puckett, the song transforms personal loss into a quiet and powerful act of remembrance.

Built on gentle instrumentation and heartfelt vocals, "February's Son" allows its message to unfold naturally, never forcing emotion but letting it rise through sincerity. Recorded at Madison Studios and engineered by Wyatt Oates, the production remains intimate and unpolished in the best sense - serving the story rather than overshadowing it.

Renowned lyric Video Director Wayne Joiner (Mamouth, Creed, Kansas, Alter Bridge, Sevendust) was brought in to create the ”February Son” video. Joiner was given an empty canvas to create what he felt would fully capture the essence and emotion of the song. The video depicts an old chest being opened, as pictures and memories flow out magically narrating the story of the lyrics.

“February’s Son” stands as a moving tribute and a testament to the healing power of honest songwriting.
