REVIEW album Laura Muccini Inside Me

Emotionally Raw & Powerfully Performed, Laura Muccini Is Regina Spektor With A Pop-Drive

Inside Me

Laura Muccini

'Inside Me' is not an easy record to digest. That does not mean it is one you should avoid. As we all know, many artists use songwriting as a form of therapy and that is most certainly the case for Opera turned Popstar Laura Muccini.

The mother of three young children is currently supporting her husband during a life-changing battle against a brain tumour and clearly needed somewhere to channel her tumultuous emotions so she could fully support her family's needs. The result is the devastatingly beautiful 'Inside Me', which is honestly the most raw and real musical love letter we have ever heard.

From the poignant "My Prayer of Love" to the playful "Playboy Mood" and addictive "Wild Strawberries", Laura shows that even in her darkest hour, she has hope and can use laughter and joys to wipe away the tears.

While vocally she may not be everyone's cup of tea, with a distinctive vocal akin to Regina Spektor and Fiona Apple, that should not deter you from getting to know this wonderfully open artist.
