No Frills Rock In "Run To Me"

Run To Me (Single)

Keyth Jones

Keyth Jones has always been a musical explorer, moving through different styles and projects with the restless energy of someone who refuses to be pinned down.

But on his latest single "Run To Me", he strips everything right back to the essentials - loud guitars, pounding drums, and an unfiltered urgency that is like shaking the dust off an old garage.

Opening with a distorted chord, "Run To Me" surges forwards with an almost reckless energy that harks back to the glorious days of the 1960's garage rock. Guitars are jagged and relentless, the drums hit like a speeding train, and Jones's vocals are delivered with a feverish intensity, somewhere between a plea and a demand for attention.

Jones first wrote "Run To Me" in a jam session with his wife on the drums, capturing that off the cuff magic that so many garage bands lived and died for. But while this song feels both wild and immediate, getting the right balance in the studio took some work.

Producer Miles Gannett helped to shape the track into something razor sharp, never letting the energy wane but making sure instead that every note lands with impact.

This is a perfect lead up to Jones's upcoming EP "Love Yourself." While the full record promises more personal and introspective moments, "Run To Me" is all about the sheer joy of making a great rock song sound effortless. It's loud, fast, and it's got the kind of reckless spirit that reminds you why rock n' roll was so impactful.
