Indie-folk Artist Joshu Release Way Back Home

After an ocean-spanning journey of self-discovery, indie-folk artist Joshu unveils his third EP, Way Back Home. A deeply personal collection of five tracks, the project meditates on themes of belonging, identity, and transformation, shaped by his journey from southern England to his childhood home in Antigua.

Following the end of a significant relationship, Joshu set sail across the Atlantic, tracing the waters that first shaped him. The solitude of the open sea became fertile ground for reflection, inspiring an EP that navigates the fluid concept of home.

The title track "Way Back Home" was written on the water, its melody rising and falling like the waves beneath him. The entire EP carries this organic, meditative quality, blending delicate acoustic textures with folk traditions and subtle Caribbean rhythms. Self-produced in Antigua throughout 2024, the record is both an exploration and a reclamation of identity.
