A Dark, Electrifying Journey

Animals In Denial
Animals in Denial’s latest track Operator is an electronic-industrial punch that’s as emotionally charged as it captures the attention.
A track born from years of creative brewing, it combines a pulsing, futuristic beat with raw lyrics that make you feel the distance between two people - both physical and emotional.
The history of "Operator" is just as interesting as the song itself - starting with a beat that Christian Imes couldn’t shake since they were 14, inspired by The Matrix and long drives around Canton, NC. While back then, Imes didn’t have the tools to fully bring the vision to life, fast forward years later, and Operator was born using a mix of Ableton Live and some old-school Acid 4 software.
The raw energy was there, but what really made the track come alive was the collaboration with Steven Seibold of Hate Dept and Pigface, who stepped in to refine the sound.
Seibold’s influence is clear. His experience with industrial music and sharp ear for production gave Operator an edge that elevated it far beyond its demo roots. He helped shape the final version of the song, from tweaking vocal deliveries to suggesting subtle backing harmonies that added texture to the chorus.
Musically, Operator thrives in its simplicity. The song originally had guitar parts, but those were stripped away to let the synths and beats take center stage. What’s left is a track that pulses and throbs with energy—dark, digital, and hypnotic.
Operator is a strong statement from Animals in Denial, showing that they’re unafraid to mix personal vulnerability with innovative production.
This track is a must-listen for anyone into electronic music with a bite, or for those who appreciate a good love story that’s both painful and empowering.
