Stooshe Shine at Intimate Gig

Notting Hill Arts Club is an intimate venue and the clue is in the title the location of the venue and on Thursday 10th December, we were kindly invited to an intimate showcase of the wonderful girlband Stooshe.

The girls chose to mix an acoustic touch to their songs with their newer songs being performed with a backing instrumental with no complaints whatsoever... hearing 'Love Me' acoustic is just as wonderful as hearing it at it's full capacity and one thing that is very strong about these girls is their slick harmonies and stage presence.

We were utterly surprised to hear them perform 'Waterfalls' (as Stooshe fans will know it's almost a no-no in their back catalogue) but the performance was strong and wonderful and thoroughly enjoyable.

The new tracks performed were 'Mannequin', 'Breathe' and personal highlight 'Give It To Ya' (which has a similarity to Rihanna's 'Pour It Up' that we simply adore). All the tracks have us enticed for a new Stooshe record! The girls changed things up with their setlist as well with a cover of Adele's 'Hello', where the harmonies were so killer, we almost wondered if it was better than the Adele version. Another surprise to the setlist was personal favourite from album #1 'Fly Again'.

The show ended with the song that everyone adores 'Black Heart' and new single 'Lock Down' and the girls reaffirmed one thing... whether it be a big stage (like V Festival 2012) or an intimate setting... these girls are capable of captivating an audience and we know their going to have a huge hold on the industry when they come back.
