Rodigan's Dream Team

With the all star line-ups gracing this year’s season of The Warehouse Project, it certainly takes something special to stand out but that’s exactly what Rodigan’s Ram Jam managed to do. From the promise of Congo Natty’s jungle sound to the bass of Baauer, it is fair to say that this night in particular got the attention of those looking for a party in Manchester.
As I entered the hallowed halls of Store Street I headed straight to see Wookie playing out some classic garage mixes and getting the crowd raring to go. From one of the stars of classic UK garage to an act seeing unprecedented commercial success recently, JME packed out his half hour set with fan favourites in a set which saw him perform at Store Street for the second time in recent months. It is fair to say that closing with ‘Man Don’t Care’ had the expected consequence of absolute mayhem.
Following straight on from this came Joey Bada$$ whose New York hip-hop offered something altogether different for the crowd. Bada$$ came to Manchester as part of a global tour and delivered all his hits in an energetic performance but it was soon time for the main man to take the stage.
David Rodigan’s seemingly ceaseless appetite for performing live certainly comes through as he pumps out his reggae. The crowd love his interaction and when Chase & Status emerge as special guests the noise reaches new levels and the party goes on until the early hours. For those who managed to get a ticket it was a night to remember and another great success in this Warehouse Project Season.
