Ella Eyre Brings Her Inner Kitty to Life

Ella Eyre is literally a force to be reckoned with... A week after her MOBO win, she literally electrifies Brixton Academy last night.

The show opened with the album track "All About You", a bold move, however Ms. Eyre literally jumped onto the stage with confidence and exhilaration from a star and from then onwards the audience were sold.

She paroled her way through sassy single "Comeback", album closer "Worry About Me", the stomper "Good Times" and her featured Rudimental Track "Waiting All Night" all without a break. She literally glided, jumped and performed the heck out of every track without a moment of breath. It was quite the showcase.

Things slowed down with (my) personal album favourites "Two" and "Even If" and (insert random B Side that "you can find on iTunes somewhere" [her words, not mine]) "Fall Down" before performing her rendition of "We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off"... it was a slightly disheartening moment that the crowd seemed more aware of the cover than the eight tracks performed before it, but nevertheless the show continued with more bangers and album tracks. Towards the end of the show, it felt a little dragged ( I certainly didn't really see the point in the inclusion of "Home" or "Don't Follow Me") however the show ended on "If I Go" before Ms. Eyre departed the stage with an encore to follow suit.

"Best of My Love" (another popular cover) was performed with audience participation being higher than ever (again a shame). Eyre certainly brings a charm to her performance and it was almost inspiring to see the same lady boast herself around the stage to bombastic numbers like "Gravity" to playing it cool and R&B with "Best of My Love"... The show ended on the bombastic single "Together" and as everyone danced and sang along, it was clear the bar was set very high by Ms. Eyre and we will be hearing a lot more from her.
