Tori Kelly is a name we should all be taking note of. After being dropped from one of the biggest music competitions 'American Idol' back in 2010, Tori decided to push away the negative comments and really strive to get herself out there.
Tori dropped her first album in 2012, 'Handmade Songs', which featured only 6 tracks. Each song from the album showed her raw talent and her fan base only grew from there. After releasing her second album, 'Unbreakable Smile' in America recently, 'Tori Kelly' has become a household name to most in the US. However, only now is Tori becoming known here in the UK. 'Unbreakable Smile' is to be released on October 16th.
Many eager fans waited by their computers the day Tori Kelly released her concert tickets. The London dates sold out in a record breaking 90 seconds, therefore anyone who managed to secure a ticket was incredibly lucky. The tickets then went on to resell online for 10x the price.
With an entire room full of aspiring musicians, famous Youtubers (Lucy and Lydia), X Factor star (Jamie Benkert), Kenny Hamilton and Tori Kelly's fans, the night was set up to be one to remember. The venue, The Tabernacle, only sold around 250 tickets for the event, therefore was very intimate. Tori started the event by allowing her fans to have a VIP experience, meeting her before the show. Due to the fact Tori was only touring in the US and the UK, fans had travelled from other countries especially for this night.
Tori's loving, friendly personality came across as she entered the stage smiling and welcoming the audience. The intimacy of the venue allowed her to socialise with her fans throughout her performance.
Her set list consisted mostly of her new album material, as well as some songs from the album 'Handmade Songs'. However some covers such as 'Suit and Tie', were also included.
Her outfit consisted of a black top and gold trousers which the crowd took a liking to. On stage, Tori blew away the audience with her powerful vocals. Her set consisted a mix of both acoustic songs and others which she performed with her band who cannot go unmentioned. Not only their talent, but their personality also showed in the performance. Together, they worked well at putting on a night the audience would remember forever.
Throughout her set, Tori Kelly took intervals to thank the audience for coming and supporting her, and also hinted about a new tour being announced soon. Her sweet, timid personality won over the audience and left them only wanting more.
Tori finished the set with her new single 'Should've been us' which is set to be released in the UK shortly. When leaving the stage, she took one last chance to interact with the audience by coming to the front of the stage and hi-fiving those who filled the front row.
After the show, fans waited for Tori to leave the venue, however security would not let anyone near, therefore she decided to video all the eager fans on her snapchat account which she posted for her viral fans to see. Tori's love for her fans came across throughout the whole night, which is why it is not surprising that her fan base is increasing so rapidly.
