Ervin Munir Is Back With "My Heart"

My Heart (Single)

Ervin Munir

Ervin Munir from Norfolk has me gripping to his new release, "My Heart". This new release from the folk singer-songwriter is a candid reflection of most relationships with Ervin speaking about the ups and downs of romance.

"My Heart" boasts an acoustic guitar strummed introduction creating a pathway to Ervin who sings with passion. The drums soon drop into the mix and they create a unique cadence with their distinct rhythm. It is the start of a musical trip in which many sounds appear adding a newfound edge to Ervin's discography.

The lyrics are heartfelt and Ervin talks about the challenges of loving someone so deeply. He expresses himself clearly by talking about not truly knowing his other half at times, often wondering what is going on in their minds but not wanting them to leave. The themes of loneliness and confusion are strikingly relevant and given that it is mental health month currently, this track could not have arrived at a better time.

Ervin Munir is not afraid to try something new and although he stays firmly in the folk lane he still explores new sounds and styles. This track does exactly that with a finale section which dips into a new territory for Ervin. It has a rocky flow and the guitars step up creating a wall of sound t is hatinvigorating.

Overall, a solid new release from Ervin Munir. Also, there are reports that he is planning to drop another album, potentially at the back end of this year? Let's hope so!
