Drawing from his Indian heritage and East African upbringing, Binoy creates an immersive sonic experience, merging cinematic pop soundscapes with deeply personal storytelling. Born and raised in Kenya, Binoy’s musical journey began early with the piano and alto saxophone, igniting a lifelong passion for composition and storytelling. Influenced by the sounds of Taylor Swift, Fleetwood Mac, ABBA, and MIKA, he has crafted a musical identity as diverse as his rich global influences. As a queer person of color, Binoy’s artistry encapsulates his personal experiences, and his mission is to cultivate a sense of community and belonging through evocative lyrics and lush, cinematic soundscapes.

After years of artistic development, Binoy dedicated over two years to the creation of, The Great Alone. Collaborating with producers Arthur Besna (known for his work with Nessa Barrett and bludnymyph) and Tripped N Sat, the trio played every instrument featured on the album and penned all the lyrics.
