BIO
An imposing and charismatic figure, 6 foot 4 inch former US marine, Bruce 'Mississippi' Johnson is a vocalist/writer/bandleader with a truly classic blues/soul voice which, allied to his heartfelt and timeless material, instantly brings to mind the music of Johnny Taylor, Johnny 'Guitar' Watson, Gill Scott Heron, Lou Rawls, Robert Cray, Bobby Bland and more. Following a successful career in Europe, where he was part of a group which delivered a triple platinum status recording, Johnson has now relocated to London and by so doing, instantly fills the void to be THE male blues/soul voice everybody on the scene has been waiting for.
